You call RAD Computers and the technician walks you through a few simple steps and in less than five minutes, he can see your screen and fix your computer as if he's been sitting next to you from the moment you called us.
With the advent of the "VNC" (or 'virtual network connection'), this is completely possible. Now, more than ever, we're just a phone call away from having your computer issue in the palm of our hands. And to top it all off, if you feel like your computer is always needing someone to look at it, we're just a phone-call and click away from being right there with you. We also use our remote assistance capabilities to perform monthly maintenance as part of our "RAD Maintenance" plan. There's two ways we can remote into your computer:
 | First is a 3rd-party service called "LogMeIn". Basically, you log into a website with a username and password we provide you, install a small piece of software, and your computer becomes accessible to our technicians (and ONLY our technicians). This procedure is completely reversible, and you're advised to do so if you don't opt into our "RAD Maintenance" plan. |
 | The second way is a 3rd-party program called "UltraVNC". This method requires you to run a small file that requests assistance from your computer to ours. Once we accept the request, we're able to see your screen and fix your computer like we're right next to you. This method is reversible, as well. Simply delete the file, and the connection remains closed. |
